WOODBRIDGE, N.J. (March 5, 2014) — Bergman Real Estate Group, a privately owned real estate investment firm that owns and manages office properties throughout New Jersey, today announced that Senior Property Manager Robin-Ann Juron has begun a two-year term as president of the The Building Owners & Managers Association (BOMA)-New Jersey.
BOMA-New Jersey is a chartered member of BOMA, an international federation that aims to enhance the human, intellectual and physical assets of the commercial real estate industry through advocacy, education, research standards and information. Since 1984, the group has supported New Jersey’s commercial real estate professionals with local networking partnerships, industry advocacy and focused educational courses.
Juron, who has been a member of the Bergman team for more than 10 years, will oversee BOMA-New Jersey as the organization focuses on growing and retaining membership, and educating members about new legislation, regulations and requirements pertaining to the commercial real estate industry.
“Robin, who has been a valued member of the Bergman team for more than a decade, has continually demonstrated an unparalleled dedication to improving the commercial real estate industry and helping her colleagues succeed,” stated Steven Bergman, chief operating officer of Bergman Real Estate Group. “On behalf of the entire Bergman team, I’d like to congratulate Robin and wish her the best of luck. BOMA-New Jersey is lucky to have such a talented and intelligent individual as president.”
Juron has been a member of BOMA-New Jersey since 1998. Prior to being named president, she served two-year terms as the organization’s secretary (2010-11) and vice president (2012-13). She has been a member of BOMA-New Jersey’s board of directors since 2008.
“BOMA-New Jersey has experienced great success in recent years, attributable to having a membership that is extremely dedicated to the organization and the overall well-being of the industry,” Juron said. “We’re seeing increased collaboration among members, who’ve come to view each other as partners as opposed to competitors. As president, I’ll look to cultivate this atmosphere.”
Juron’s diverse real estate background encompasses more than 18 years of experience managing and leasing commercial, industrial and retail properties in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York and California. At Bergman, she is responsible for the in-house property management functions for the firm’s Central and Southern NJ office properties.
Prior to joining Bergman, Juron was responsible for the management of a 43-building industrial portfolio in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, which grew from 1.5 million square feet to 8 million square feet. In 2001, she received the first Industrial Park TOBY award from BOMA-New Jersey.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts from Queens College, City University of New York, with a major in Political Science and a minor in Urban Studies. She also completed a program in paralegal studies (with a concentration in real estate) at Adelphi University, and has attended various courses at New York University, Continuing School of Education for Real Estate.
