WOODBRIDGE, N.J. (May 1, 2004) – Michael Bergman, Vice President and Principal of Bergman Real Estate Group has announced the appointment of John G. Osborne as Executive Director, Leasing & Marketing, effective immediately.
In his new role, Mr. Osborne will work closely with Mr. Bergman in spearheading the firm’s in-house leasing and marketing activities for its portfolio of 15 New Jersey Office Buildings.
John has an excellent reputation within the New Jersey brokerage community that will prove valuable to our leasing efforts and he will compliment our long established hands-on approach to property ownership and management,” comments Michael Bergman. “His proven ability to work with brokers, tenants, architects and attorneys to lease commercial properties on behalf of owners, will serve our company well as we seek to maximize the performance of our properties”.
Mr. Osborne certainly has the credentials required to assume such a demanding position for a growing real estate company that continues to expand its’ office property holdings. With more than twenty years of commercial real estate experience, the past sixteen of which have been with The Garibaldi Group where he was Senior Vice President, Mr. Osborne has a very successful business track record. For many years he acted as exclusive leasing agent of Meadows Office Complex, a 600,000 square foot office facility located in Rutherford, N.J., and after selling Overlook at Great Notch, a 425,000 square foot office building located in Little Falls, N.J., also acted as exclusive leasing agent of that property. He also represented the interests of two national telecom companies in the leasing of approximately 600,000 square feet of office space in fifty different cities.
During his career, Mr. Osborne has concluded lease or sale transactions totaling approximately 2.5 million square feet, mostly office space. Prior to The Garibaldi Group, Mr. Osborne worked at Helmsley-Spear, Inc. in both their Manhattan and New Jersey offices.
